Ilkka Suppanen (born 1968) is a Finnish designer, who studied architecture at the Technical University of Helsinki and interior and furniture design at the University of Art and Design (now Aalto University) in Helsinki. Since 1995 he runs his own "Studio Suppanen" in Helsinki, which specializes in product and concept design. He also teaches design at the Aalto University in Helsinki. Ilkka Suppanen's priorities are sustainable, long-term innovative projects with capitalizing value. His design has typical Scandinavian features: bright, futuristic, clear, demonstrating his interest in materials and production techniques. Ilkka Suppanen has received numerous design awards for his works and his customers include well-known manufacturers, for e.g. Artek, Blyk, Campers, Cappellini, E & Y, Iittala, Kinnasand, Lucente, Marimekko, Muuto, Zanotta, etc.
