Samuli Naamanka (born 1969) is an independent inventor and designer working on many fields of design. His work combines carefully shapes with creative technical innovations. He focuses on ecological design and innovation. In the late 1990s, Samuli Naamanka began to develop retarders and printing methods to produce artwork and patterns on concrete surfaces, resulting in a patented technology called the 'graphical concrete' (Graphic Concrete®), born in 2002. The inspiration was to create a real industrial product for large-scale surfaces, a tool with which architects could be more visually creative.
