Details

The PH 3/2 pendant in Scandinavian style was already designed by Poul Henningsen in the years 1925/26 and was one of the first models to be created with the help of Louis Poulsen, which was also shown at an exhibition in Paris. This collaboration lasted until the death of Poul Henningsen in 1967. Poul Henningsen was always interested in creating lamps with glare-free light that cast soft shadows and direct the cone of light to the right place. Poul Henningsen was the first to study light on a scientific basis using the logarithmic spiral. With its help and the use of glass, he achieved an even distribution of light and diffuse reflection, i.e. glare effects and shadows could be specifically influenced. The brightness is evenly dampened by the individual screen elements. The figures for the names refer to the size of the screen segments. The original luminaires, such as model 2/2, have three segments, each 20 cm in diameter. The PH 3/2 model, however, consists of an upper segment with a diameter of 30 cm and a smaller segment underneath. They were designed because there was a desire to hang the pendant luminaires lower. The lampshades are made of mouth-blown opalised three-layer glass, glossy on the outside and matt on the inside.

The PH 3/2 luminaire is also available in other versions. Suspension: Supply cable 2 x 0.75 mm². Supply cable length: 3 m. Canopy: Available.

The lamp can be operated with an illuminant of 1 x 75W E27 and is also available in the high-gloss chrome-plated version.
