Louis Poulsen PH 3/2 Table Lampe Brass Metallic

Quick Overview

Louis Poulsen

Availability: In stock 3-5 weeks

This PH 3/2 table lamp made of metallized brass is one of the new variants of the PH lamp series. PH 3/2 lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen in 1925/26 and was one of the first models created with the help of Louis Poulsen, which was also shown at an exhibition in Paris. This collaboration lasted until the death of Poul Henningsen in 1967. Poul Henningsen was always interested in creating lamps with glare-free light that cast soft shadows and direct the cone of light to the right place. Poul Henningsen was the first to study light on a scientific basis using the logarithmic spiral. With its help and the use of glass, he achieved an even distribution of light and diffuse reflection, i.e. glare effects and shadows could be specifically influenced. The brightness is evenly dampened by the individual screen elements.

The numbers in the name refer to the size of the screen segments. The original lamps, such as model 2/2, have three segments, each 20 cm in diameter. However, the PH 3/2 model consists of an upper segment with a diameter of 30 cm and a smaller segment below it.

This beautiful table lamp in Scandinavian style is also available in other versions and as a pendant lamp. Lead length: 2.1 m. Switch: supply line with intermediate switch. The lamp can be operated with a light source of 1 x 40W E14.
